Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone. Be well and happy in the new year. Keep on truckin’. I think I’ll do it without the truck in ’08.
A light rain turned to snow for a while last evening but it was gone by this morning. Blue skies today look like no snow for Christmas. Darn!
I’m off to Rockefeller Center tomorrow for a walking tour along with checking out the tree and ice skaters. I’ll post some pics.

Click, click, click…I’ll point and shoot. After my cc has had time to heal from the Brooklyn Bob project, it’s gonna be a Nikon SLR in ’08. I’ll practice right from my window with a tripod, 300mm zoom and 18mm wide angle zoom.

I saw the Rock Center tree last week — those LED lights are pretty vibrant, especially the blues and greens. Any good ice skaters on the rink? I still prefer the old white incandescent lights (which read yellow-white) on the 8 stars on our barn. I added a new star on the nursery fence this year with white LED’s — definitely a much cooler blue-white. Happy Brooklyn Xmas!

Just got back from 2 walking tours with lots of pics in my camera. Did the Rockefeller Center tour and then walked down from 51st St to 18th and 6th for a tour of what used to be called the “Ladies MIle”. It was home to stores such as Lord and Taylor, Stern Bros, B. Altman, Siegal Cooper and Hugh O’Neil. You should see what’s there now…and you will when I upload my pics to Flickr. Been on my feet (and knees) pretty much all day from 9am to 5pm. I did this fueled with a bagel (lox, onions and cc) before I left, a Starbucks coffee while watching skaters at R.C. and no bathroom stop. How’d I do it with this old bod? Who knows the power of mind over matter. Now if I can just use the same power to turn off the pain in my knees. What a day. It was a great time that I’ll not forget…particularly with all the pics. I hope all who celebrate it had a wonderful Christmas day. I certainly did.
